Indoor Cricket Information sheet

This information sheet is written with the intent of assisting management to provide a better organised competition with the co-operation of players, umpires and spectators.

Duration & cost of the game

Cost: $96
This is a team charge not a player charge ie. If your team does not have the full 8 players you are still required to pay full fees
Duration is 1 hr 10 mins
Minimum number of players: 6
Game start times: 5.50pm, 7.00pm, 8.10pm, 9.20pm
All players should be at the centre no later than 5 minutes prior to the scheduled game time

Team shortages and fill ins

If your team is experiencing difficulties in fielding a full team the centre will be able to organize fill in players for you. Teams must realize, though, that if we are to be successful in helping you we need as much notice as possible.

Forfeits

If your team forfeits their game, penalties shall apply! Your team must pay the forfeit fee of $96 before the next game. For the team who has the forfeit, management will organize a game where possible. In this situation, the team forfeited against will receive 7 points. If a game has been organised the game must be played and full fees must be paid to receive the forfeit points.

Premiership points system

3 point for win
1 point for each batting skin won
7 points – BYE
+7 – forfeit for
-7 – forfeit against
Full games fees must be paid for on the night. If your team cannot cover the full cost of the game the difference must be paid the following week.

Player qualifications

Minimum 5 games of season fixtures to play finals.
Fill in players from other teams and grades may fill in for teams that are short on the night (except finals).
TEAMS MUST BE FINANCIAL TO PLAY FINALS.

Uniform penalties

There are no uniform penalties at Kedron.

Player insurance

Players participating in any sport at this centre do so at their own risk. This centre does not have player insurance.

Umpires

Verbal abuse of our umpires will not be tolerated. Although the umpires are in control of the game and have full support of the management, we are still approachable regarding any area you want clarification on. Penalties will apply to umpire, equipment (yours or the centre’s) and player abuse. Runs will be deducted and continual harassment will result in the offending player being sent from the court and to take no further part in the game. Violent behaviour will result in players being suspended from the centre.

We encourage all teams to play the game in a sportsman like manner.
